The SCM25002 is an interface module for connecting a satellite receiver dish using an L-band IF to a general purpose radio receiver. A power converter and bias tee are included to provide bias power to the low noise block (LNB) on a satellite receiver dish. The signal from the LNB passes through the module and is AC coupled to the RF output while a DC bias is applied to the cable at the RF input. Basic signal conditioning for the RF signal is also provided, including an L-band pass filter and switchable low noise amplifier (LNA). The module is powered by a standard 12V wall supply or equivalent. A simple serial interface allows a user or host computer to select the bias voltage and enable the LNA.
